Our comprehensive programme expansion in the product line of moisture measurement technology includes sensor systems for the determination of moisture, water content as well as layer thickness and weight per unit area. Liebherr, as our cooperation partner, has many years of experience in the field of capacitive measurement technology, which is used here. Through this capacitive measurement of moisture and water content, our Litronic FMS sensor system provides the important information to control and regulate our customers' process chains in real time (in situ). In this way, we enable our customers to achieve significant increases in efficiency through optimised use of resources.

 
 

Litronic FMS Planarsensor P78

Small, fine, excellent: the P78 moisture and water content sensor in conjunction with the Litronic FMS measuring device has become indispensable for many industrial processes. Measurements of this Liebherr sensor technology are based on the physical principle of capacitance determination in the high-frequency stray field. In addition to high precision and robustness, the measuring devices are characterised by their reproducibility.

Once a sensor has been calibrated, further measuring points can be set up or devices renewed on this basis at any time without great effort. The system thus always remains reliable, regardless of its previous runtime and age.

Advantages

■ Indirect measuring method: Capacitance determination in the high-frequency stray field. This method uses the different dielectric constant (permittivity) of water and a wide variety of materials (solids and liquids).
Fully reproducible sensors: If sensors are subsequently added to the system or if sensors are replaced, no recalibration is necessary thanks to the built-in microprocessor.
Waterproof and dustproof: The sensor is suitable even in the harshest environments thanks to protection class IP68.
Very hard wear protection: The sensor surface consists of a 2 mm thin zirconium oxide ceramic.
Process control and regulation: Thanks to extensive interfaces, the moisture measurement can be integrated into process control systems and controllers.
Cost savings: Time-consuming and costly laboratory analyses can be eliminated or reduced.
Limit values: Maximum or minimum limit values can be set using the software. If required, light or sound signals can be triggered.
Average value calculator: The sensor passes on already averaged values to the FMS evaluation and transfer module.
